The Theoretical and Applied Earth Observation (TAEOS) Lab.

Welcome to our lab! We focus on the application of remote sensing systems to estimate frozen and liquid water in the environment. Our research uses satellite, airborne and ground based microwave instruments to observe snow, ice, and water. By combining remote sensing observations with numerical models, in situ measurements, and advanced geospatial machine learning methods, we are developing tools to estimate water storage for hydrology and climate scale studies.
